The Uxío Novoneyra Foundation is a cultural interest entity dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the poet Uxío Novoneyra. Additional aims of the Foundation include the promotion of the arts, environmental protection, sociocultural activation, and the promotion of the UNESCO Geopark and Biosphere Reserve of Courel mountains (NUTS ES112, Galicia, Spain), as well as the international dissemination of Galician Lenguage and Culture. Since our establishment in 2010, we have collaborated with similar organizations and are now recognized for our effective work with European funding. We also facilitate mediation actions in educational, hospital, and cultural centers, organize an annual poetry festival (EidosFest.com), host artistic residencies, and implement socially impactful projects. Notable among these are:
Care Readings (2024) is a project focused on using literary reading as a transformative tool with communities, held at the Psychiatric Hospital of Conxo in Santiago de Compostela.
Inhabited Readings (2022-23) is a summer school for women centered on literary reading by women about specific themes such as Wild Nature, Reading and Rebuilding, and Naming Silences, conducted in natural settings and various spaces around the village of Parada do Courel.
